Weekly Announcements 11/7-11/11

-Hey Rancho! Do you want to play volleyball with friends? Or do you want to get some practice to try out for a team later? Come to volleyball club Tuesdays in Q4 to sign up to play on Fridays in the main gym at lunch. See you there!

-The next blood drive is taking place on Thursday, December 1st. Sign up during drop-ins and if you are 16 or 17 please fill out a permission slip, which can be found in the office. Also, make sure you check the qualifications prior to signing up! Donating blood saves lives. Donors receive a free shirt and after donating blood 6 times, receive a cord for graduation.

-Seniors, just a reminder that Jostens will be on campus for cap, gown, and graduation orders on Tuesday, November 8th during morning break and lunch. Extra order packets are available in the main office.

-Hey cougars. Is there anyone looking forward to going on the trip to Ecuador this spring break with Global Student Embassy? Global Student Embassy’s main mission is to help plant trees and to cultivate the soil in Ecuador. Did you know that Ecuador has the highest rate of deforestation in the western hemisphere? If you would like to go on the trip, all medical paperwork must be turned in to Global Student Embassy ahead of time. Are you ready to come on down and have an awesome time this spring break by helping plant trees? If so, see Mr.Hartmann or the front office for more details.

-Hey cougars! For those of you who are keen on joining Debate Club, just remember that we meet in Mr.Steinglass’ class, J4, at lunch on Tuesdays! Debate Club participates in numerous competitive events in California, and each member chooses a genre to debate in. Anyone interested in learning more about the various types of speech and debate genres, go to the National Speech and Debate Association  to learn more.

-Hey cougars! Just a reminder that debate club’s dine and donate at Mary’s Pizza Shack in Rohnert park will be all day on Monday, November 7th. Remember that anyone who is wanting to go and has received a flyer must bring the flyer with them in order to make a donation to debate club! Hope to see you all there.

-Community Service Opportunity: Weaver’s Winter Wonderland is looking for volunteers to help set up his incredible display. See Mr.Norman in the counseling center for more information.

-Attention link crew leaders, we will be having a meeting at lunch on Tuesday, the 8th in Ms. Dassow’s room J9. Please arrive right when lunch starts. Lunch will be provided. Again, link crew leaders meeting at lunch on Tuesday in J9 with Ms. Dassow.

-Boys basketball tryouts start November 7th. Please fill out your athletic packet before November and return it to Yvonne in the front office. Football players please fill out the blue sheet to transfer from football to basketball

-Hey cougars! Students who are attending the trip to Ecuador with Global Student Embassy will b hosting a bake sale in front of Oliver’s Market in Rohnert Park on Thursday, November 10th after school! Remember, if you donate 1-5 dollars you can pick a couple small items; 10-20 dollars and you can pick out 3 small items and 1 big item, 20 dollars and you can pick out 5 items! Hope to see you there.

-Listen up engineering enthusiasts! Are you looking to bring  your designs to life? Come construct cool  creations in the confines of a comfortable classroom. If you are interested in the art of Lego engineering or Lego building, come to room N5 on Mondays and Wednesdays during lunch.
