Always Super Busy

Associated Student Body, also known as ASB is a group of students from each grade at Rancho who come together and plan our school events, fundraisers, and anything that has to do with school spirit. They are an important asset to the Rancho community and should be recognized for their work. ASB have many fun events going on during the month of November and they hope you join in on each of them.

November 3rd-17th – Kiss the Pig

As you might’ve saw from the posters varied around the school, a small fundraiser called “Kiss the Pig” has started on the 3rd and will end on the 17th. Three teachers, Mr.Decker, Mr.Green, and Mr.Steinglass, have been nominated to participate in this fundraiser. The teacher who raises the most money in their ‘tip jar’ has to kiss a pig. Join in on this by putting some money into one of the three teachers jars and watching the fun. The money raised goes to materials and other things ASB may need for future school events.

November 9th-2nd of December – Canned food drive

The canned food drive is one of the biggest events ASB puts on and it requires more dedication, time, and effort than any other event. Neighbors Organized Against Hunger, NOAH, the Cotati/Rohnert Park/Penngrove food bank, is the organization we are donating to. Gathering spirit points helps to produce and gather more cans. The canned food goal is 10,000 pounds and we hope everyone participates.

November 10th – Blood drive

Every year, Rancho produces four blood drives in which volunteers from the student body donate blood to save tons of lives each year. Rancho works alongside Blood Centers of the Pacific for smooth and organized blood drives. You must be 16 and over to donate blood.
